Cédric Berruex was so amazed when he first saw a piece of quartz showing some geometrical crystal facets on a mountain path, he decided to become a gemologist and jeweller. He was just 11, but the amazing sight of this natural ‘miracle’ on a family holiday in the in the Swiss mountains changed the course of his life.
Cédric worked at the ticking heart of the Swiss jewelry and watch industry for 30 years, as a director in jewelry and gemological of departments inside several brands and companies. While he is scientist about diamonds and gemstones, he also sees their power to inspire, to awe, to express human creativity and emotion. Cédric began to envisage a radically different jewelry Maison, beyond the traditional and rigid way to wear jewelry. Then, EDELMONT was born.
Cédric’s vision is adaptable jewelry that empowers people with more creative control. To make it a reality, he drew on his experience and the Swiss legacy of precision manufacturing. The key is the invention of the signature Penta Lock. This high-calibre locking device allows you to become a co-creator, free to change your own style as and when you like.
